The ideal time to visit depends on what you want to experience — cool and
pleasant weather from October to February is great for sightseeing and hill stations. The monsoon (June–September) brings lush landscapes and waterfalls, while summers (March–May) offer good views but can be hot in the plains.

Most popular tourist destinations in Maharashtra do not require special
permits. However, certain protected areas or eco-sensitive zones may have entry
regulations — always check the specific site’s guidelines before visiting.
Eligible tourism businesses must first be registered and approved under the
Directorate of Tourism. Once certified, they can apply for benefits such as capital investment subsidy, stamp duty/registration fee waivers, SGST reimbursement, electricity duty exemptions, and other incentives as per the policy rules and project eligibility categories.
